What is Virtual Real Estate?
Welcome to the Virtual Real Estate Blog!
This first posting will be to explain and describe the focus of
this blog, which is Virtual Real Estate. At least my definition
of virtual real estate.
There are two different subjects when it comes to virtual
real estate. 1) websites that are used by people in the real
estate industry or people looking to buy and sell real property.
i.e. land, houses, commercial buildings, etc.
2) online property. dot com's, domain names, websites, etc.
What I consider the true meaning of virtual real estate.
Being the owner of, registrar of or at least having control of a
.com, .net, .info, etc. domain name and website or webpages.
In short, if you own a domain name you own virtual real estate.
At least in my books.
So, #2 from above is going to be the focus of this blog.
Virtual Online Real Estate. Not houses, land or buildings.
Here is Webster's definition of "Virtual":
1 : being such in essence or effect though not formally
recognized or admitted
2 : of, relating to, or using virtual memory
3 : of, relating to, or being a hypothetical particle whose
existence is inferred from indirect evidence
About as clear as mud, right?
Well, for our purposes Virtual means cyber as in cyberspace,
online and/or internet.
So, as you may know the .com boom came and went and alot
of people lost alot of money, businesses failed, etc.
But, did you know that the next .com boom is coming?
Virtual Real Estate is going to be big. It already is!
Check this site out and you will get a feel for what I am
talking about:

I would love to hear your opinion on this subject. Whatever
it may be. If you think I'm full of it and think I'm way off
the mark with Virtual Real Estate I'd like to hear why you
think that.
If you don't really know what I'm talking about and have
questions please ask!
I'll be posting more articles and other related information
to this BLOG so mark it in your favorites and check back
often because this subject is going to be heating up over
the next few months and years!
Until then,
Take care!
